Task

Start with a book about a topic your child LOVES

  • Take a book walk! Make predictions about what the book is about by looking closely at the front and back covers, index, table of contents, glossary and photos if your book has any of those features
  • Encourage active reading by allowing them to ask lots of questions. You can model this behavior by thinking out loud and asking questions to your child as you take your book walk.
